Engagement Session at Reynolda Gardens with Gabi & Andrew

Some sessions just feel extra special, and Gabi and Andrew’s engagement shoot at Reynolda Gardens in Winston-Salem, NC was one of those unforgettable evenings. From the very beginning, I knew this was going to be fun—not only because these two are so clearly in love, but because we had already built such a wonderful connection during the planning process.

In the weeks leading up to their session, we talked about everything from outfits to overall style. Gabi decided on the most adorable multi-colored floral dress, while Andrew coordinated perfectly with complementary tones. Their wardrobe choices were the perfect blend of playful, romantic, and timeless—just like them.

When the day of the shoot arrived, I could tell Gabi was a little nervous about being in front of the camera (as most of us feel!). But with a little laughter, storytelling, and lighthearted conversation, those nerves melted away quickly. We created a relaxed, easygoing atmosphere that allowed their personalities and their love for each other to shine through naturally.

The result? Images filled with joy, tenderness, and connection. From quiet moments walking hand-in-hand through the gardens to bursts of laughter as we shared jokes, every photograph told a piece of their love story. Reynolda Gardens, with its blooming flowers and charming pathways, was the perfect backdrop for such a beautiful couple.

What excites me most is knowing this isn’t just about photos—it’s about relationships. Gabi and Andrew started as clients, but through the process, they’ve become friends. I’m beyond excited to celebrate their wedding next year and continue documenting their journey together.

Sessions like this remind me that photography is about more than pretty pictures—it’s about creating memories, connections, and experiences that feel authentic and lasting.
