Pumpkin Heads, Laughter & Autumn Vibes at Sycamore Park

Every now and then, a photoshoot idea comes along that’s just pure fun from start to finish — and this pumpkin head session with Simone and Shea was exactly that. 🎃

We met at Sycamore Park in Diamond Bar, surrounded by golden light, trees beginning to turn, and that unmistakable fall feeling. Simone and Shea showed up ready to go — each with their carved jack-o’-lanterns (yes, actual pumpkins!) and the best sense of humor.

The idea behind this shoot was simple: mix a little spooky season flair with the laid-back, playful energy of a couple just having a good time together. And that’s exactly what we did.

The Shoot

Once the pumpkin heads went on, we could not stop laughing. Between posing, dancing, and twirling around the park, the energy was contagious. I gave a few fun prompts — walking hand in hand, pretending to have a serious “pumpkin meeting,” even a slow-motion spin in the grass.

What I loved most was how much Simone and Shea embraced the silliness. They leaned into every moment — adjusting their pumpkins, cracking jokes, and making it their own. Underneath all the laughter, you could still see their connection shine through.

We finished the session just before sunset, with the warm California light streaming through the trees — a perfect golden-hour glow that made the orange pumpkins pop even more.
